Speech Language Pathologist / 1.0 FTE / Student Services Department - District Wide / Start Date: 10/03/2022 / 10 Month Calendar / Temporary
Per the Oregon State Vaccination Mandate, Hillsboro School District employees must be fully vaccinated or approved for a medical or religious exception prior to the first date of employment.

GENERAL DUTIES
Screen, evaluate and identify eligible students for speech and language services; design and implement appropriate intervention strategies; collect student performance data and establish and maintain a daily schedule. Provide information relative to communication disorders to students, parents, teachers and significant others.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- A. A license by the Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology; or A license issued by the Teacher Standards and Practice Commission (TSPC) prior to July 1, 2016, and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) from the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA); or has completed the equivalent educational requirements and work experience necessary for the certificate; or has completed the academic program and is acquiring supervised work experience to qualify for the certificate
- B. A Master's Degree in Speech and Language, Speech-Language Pathology, or Communication Disorders
- C. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for on the job travel
- D. The ability to follow oral and written instructions
- E. The ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and/or backgrounds
- F. The ability to work harmoniously with others
- G. Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
- H. Proficient in use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
- I. The ability to learn new automated systems as they are brought online by the District
- J. Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year candidate
- K. Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons
