Senior Specialist - International Center

Job Description

The College of Southern Nevada seeks a detail-oriented professional staff member to join its International Center team as a Senior Specialist. The specialist is primarily responsible for internal and external communications, reporting, and marketing for the International Center. Duties include but are not limited to collaborating across units to guide and facilitate the creation and implementation of a variety of communications and reports, as well as using marketing strategies and core messaging to ensure consistency with International Center and College branding. This includes the management, promotion, and creation of print and digital materials; managing multimedia, including web, social media, digital signs and video production; and other public relations and marketing projects. A leader and a collaborator, the senior specialist must partner internally and externally in order to contribute to CSN's mission of empowering our students and communities to achieve, succeed, and prosper at home and overseas.

Duties

• Serves as main manager of the website for the International Center by updating content and managing its design and ongoing development

• Creates promotional materials, handbooks, and other materials and resources in partnership with team members

• Manages data and facilitates reporting for the International Center related to enrollment, programming, and activities

• Conceptualizes, designs, executes, and assesses the strategy using social media (Instagram, Facebook, and others as appropriate and useful), web sites, and targeted communication plans focused on maximizing leads for strong program enrollments

• Operates as team lead on branding guidelines, working closely with Marketing and Communications as well as international partners to ensure messaging to students, parents, and other key partners is consistent and effective

• Assists team with designing and editing to produce high quality, accurate, visually impactful reports, outreach materials, and deliverables for inbound and outbound programs.

• Collaborates with team members to manage routine and/or high-profile events, be they online or in-person

The ideal candidate will have:

• Diversity and inclusion experience, with sensitivity to cultural differences

• Knowledge regarding immigration regulations and study abroad procedures

• Experience in providing advising services to the international student population

• Knowledge of Immigration Law and specifically how it pertains to F-1 status

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively communicate regulatory requirements to institutional and international customer-base that is professionally, educationally, and culturally diverse

• Knowledge of higher education institutions, academic and professional degree requirements

• Knowledge of student's database management, electronic technology, and website updating

• Knowledge and skills in retention issues Experience in project management

• Strong leadership skills and experience

• Proficiency in a second language

• Ability to travel locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Higher Education policies and Procedures

• Knowledge about federal regulations and international affairs

• Knowledge about international partner development and management

• Experience working, living, and/or studying abroad

• Experience working with student populations

Minimum Starting Salary Range information:

The minimum starting salary is $ 53,805. The successful candidate may be placed above the minimum of the range based on education and experience.
