Admissions Specialist
We are seeking an Admissions Specialist who will lead the admissions processing and document management processes for Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. Additionally, this position provides administrative key support in areas such as administrative troubleshooting, triaging student requests in SEAM, and detecting and resolving conflicting information between two systems that are part of the application process, Slate and SIS, to ensure a seamless applicant experience.

Admissions Specialist
We are seeking an Admissions Specialist who will lead the admissions processing and document management processes for Advanced Academic Programs (AAP) in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Process sensitive student records accurately and timely.
- Prioritize tasks in a fast-paced professional environment.
- Ensure a high level of customer service in the applicant and student experience.
- Work collaboratively across OIS and AAP particularly with the Admissions team.
- Convey complex divisional, department, and university policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Independently perform a wide range of operational tasks related to AAP (including OIS compliance e-form verification).
- Review graduate applications and make admission decisions based on published criteria.
- Initiate E-Forms based on Visa eligibility for international students.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding of university student services, such as Office of International Services (OIS), Financial aid and Student Accounts.
- Demonstrate flexibility throughout the academic year to handle additional duties as assigned.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Experience with SIS, Stellic, Report Manager, Slate, 25Live.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Must be detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
- Ability to handle a high volume of work, to prioritize and work efficiently.
- Must be team-oriented and work well with others.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.
- Three years administrative/academic related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- General knowledge of procedures in enrollment services preferred.
- Ability to learn Slate, SIS, and Microsoft Office.
