Job Description:
Franklin & Marshall College is recruiting for a part-time Off-Campus Study Specialist.
Job Details:
• Location: F&M Campus - Lancaster, PA
• Classification: Part-time / Nonexempt
• Schedule: 20 hours per week.
• Reports to: Associate Dean of International Initiatives
• Department: Office of International Programs.
Job Description:
The Off Campus Study Specialist (OCS) is principally responsible for database and records management, in addition to being a central part of the OCS advising team. The OCS Specialist supports the Assistant Dean in maintaining communication with campus partners. The OCS Specialist also participates in OCS programming throughout the year.
Essential Functions:
• Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, maintain and update the Off-Campus Study (OCS) Terra Dotta structure. Under the direction of the Assitant Dean, maintain spreadsheets and communications with Financial Aid, Registrar, and Business Office.
• Advise students on off-campus study opportunities. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, the OCS Specialist will be expected to manage a small portfolio of programs, and to learn the details of these programs. Expected to understand degree plans and degree requirements in order to best advise students. Advise students on the financial and credit transfer process.
• Assist in communications with partner offices on campus, and will learn basic workflow processes associated with the off-campus study experience.
• Participate in orientation activities to prepare students for the off-campus study experience, and to welcome them back to F&M.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree
• 1-3 years experience in Higher Education.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with Google Suite products (Docs, Gmail, Sheets, Drive, Slides).
• Ability and willingness to provide excellent service and to work in a collegial manner with students, faculty and staff, and other constituencies is essential.
• This position requires driving for college business, the successful candidate must possess a U.S. or Canadian driver's license which has been valid for at least two years, have a driving record that is free from excessive motor vehicle violations within the last three years, and have had no convictions in the last 24 months for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Preferred Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of experience with work in an off-campus study unit.
Additional Information:
Offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of reference checks, a criminal background verification, Pennsylvania ACT 153 background clearances, and verification of credentials. The College will coordinate these verifications.
