Rural Dynamics - Ecology Project International VISTA
Ecology Project International (EPI) is an education and career training program. Through partnerships with local schools and school districts, EPI develops high caliber curriculums that increase the knowledge and educational outcomes of their students. Through partnerships with professionals who actively work in fields such as land management, research, conservation, and biology, students gain capacity and networks that both inspires and advances their career potential. EPI focuses on serving traditionally underserved and poverty-stricken populations, specifically those in rural and/or Indigenous communities. This project will support rural Montana community access to field-based educational programming to increase interest in science and ecology, as well as connect youth to local higher education opportunities and beyond. The VISTA member will build the capacity of EPI's grant writing, market the program to new areas of Montana, and secure new sponsors and donors. Through this capacity built and resources gained, EPI will be able to keep providing access to training and education opportunities to underserved youth. These opportunities are crucial for addressing poverty in rural Montana. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
