The Office of the Vice Provost of International Affairs (OVPIA) (https://global.cornell.edu) provides strategic leadership for global engagement and internationalization at Cornell University—connecting, informing, and supporting the University’s international activities. The vice provost oversees and manages Cornell’s global partnerships, and supports and facilitates global activities for colleges, faculty, staff, and students.

Within the Office of the Vice Provost of International Affairs, Global Operations is an ambitious, cross-functional team dedicated to providing the Cornell community with high quality customer service and holistic preparation and solutions for international collaborations, projects, travel, and operations. Its portfolio includes:
- International contract management and advising; utilizing a contract management platform to manage templates and workflow Consulting on legal, tax, and regulatory compliance abroad Management of Cornell’s legal entities in China and India, including HR, tax, payroll, accounting, service agreements, corporate compliance, and corporate secretarial services International HR and other staffing needs abroad Strategic international partnership management, including Global Hubs International travel health, safety, and security
What You Will Do:
Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost and Executive Director of Global Operations and Strategy, the Assistant Director of Global Operations is part of the Global Operations team responsible for Finance, HR, and Consulting. The position provides support to Cornell faculty, staff and students conducting educational, research, service, or professional services abroad. The position works closely with the Director of International HR and other subject matter experts across the institution including Tax, Cash Management, Office of Sponsored Programs, Risk Management and Insurance, and the Office of General Counsel, and Colleges/Schools.
