Position Summary:
Adjunct Instructor for online courses for the Master of Arts in Higher Education, HBCU focus. Remote position for both synchronous and asynchronous online courses including, but not limited to, Higher Education Administration, Financial Management in Higher Education, Organizational Behavior, Ethical and Professional Issues in Student Affairs, and Strategic Planning in Higher Education.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Facilitate and deliver course material to graduate students in an engaging and dynamic online format. Teach one to two 8-week courses per semester. Responsible for providing a high-quality learning experience, provide feedback and assessments to students, record keeping of grades, and maintain communication with the Program Coordinator.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Required: Knowledge and skills that are necessary for effective management and administration of student affairs in higher education. Knowledge and skills of Higher Education Student Affairs and Development, specifically with Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the United States. Knowledge of current issues and trends in the field of student affairs administration. Ability to effectively teach adult learners through an online format both synchronously and asynchronously.
Preferred: Experience with Quality Matters standards and use of Canvas as the Learning Management System (LMS).

Extent of Public Contact: Contact with current and prospective students, program coordinator, department chair, and individuals at HBCUs across the United States.
Physical Demands: Remote - computer work
Physical Requirements: Ability to work on computer and virtually attend classes/meetings.
Working Conditions and Environment: Remote working environment.

Required:
- An earned Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Higher Education Student Affairs, Educational Leadership, or similar.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in higher education student affairs/student affairs leadership roles.
- University teaching experience, including online teaching.
- Experience with teaching graduate level students.
