St. Ambrose University seeks an International Student Advisor and Study Abroad Coordinator to serve in a dual student engagement (50%) and study abroad / off-campus (50%) capacity for international and domestic students. The position's student engagement duties will include serving as a student success resource for international students adjusting to US classroom culture; developing strategies to promote international students' cultural adjustment and engagement on campus and in the community; and assisting international students in developing plans of study. The position's study abroad duties will include providing leadership for Study Abroad and administrative and logistical support for Study Abroad programming; supporting faculty in the development and evaluation of short-term faculty-led and other education abroad programs; coordinating travel, lodging, and activities related to faculty-led study abroad programs; assisting in risk management for education abroad programs; serving as the initial point of contact for faculty, staff, and students who are abroad; and advising students seeking education abroad opportunities.

The International Student Advisor and Study Abroad Coordinator must be an energetic, compassionate communicator. A Bachelor's degree and a valid US passport are required. International travel experience, university advising, admissions, marketing, or sales experience, proficiency in Arabic or Spanish, and familiarity with Catholic higher education are preferred. Up to 5% domestic/international travel is possible. The specialist will serve as a DSO and ARO in SEVIS.
