Job Description:
The Project Officer Worldwide supports the Fulbright Student and Scholar Programs by performing high-level administrative, coordinative, and operational work tasks and projects in support of the FLTA and Program Management teams, as well as providing project management support for projects that broadly support the Fulbright Student and Scholar Programs. The position performs work that requires the application of a variety of policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Provides support to Fulbright FLTA team. Duties may include contributing to application review activities, monitoring document collection, and conducting appropriate follow-up, assisting with uploads and budget worksheets, supporting events, and providing support as needed during peak times. Provides administrative support to the FLTA team in providing grantee support, including arranging grantee arrival and departure travel, monitoring the submission of required grantee documentation, and raising issues as necessary with FLTA team members.
Provides support to the Fulbright Program Management team. Duties may include contributing to application review activities, monitoring document collection, and conducting appropriate follow-up, assisting with DS-2019s and Terms of Appointment, assisting with placement activities, and providing support as needed during peak times.
Interacts with other team members to arrange and schedule office and team meetings. Duties may include coordinating schedules, preparing meeting materials and presentations, finalizing travel agendas and budgets, setting up computer and A/V equipment, coordinating with IT teams, attendees and vendors, and securing meeting space. May support other internal project tasks as needed.
Administers and processes payment requests and invoices. Duties may include scheduling payments, assisting with the creation of participant budgets, initiating payments to vendors and processing payments made to the office/department. Conducts quality assurance reviews of grantee payments.
Provides administrative support for the Senior Leaders of the Fulbright Student and Scholar Programs. Duties may include arranging travel, reconciling expense reports, managing calendars, preparing meeting materials, securing meeting space and more.
The Institute of International Education (“IIE”) has a hybrid work environment that allows team members a combination of in-office work and telework at any of the locations listed above.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree and at least two years of related work experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational and project management skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple tasks.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites.
Salary Range:
$55,043 - $63,988.
A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, job-related knowledge, skills, abilities, internal organizational equity, and geographic region.
