One of the nation's first and most renowned private, women's liberal arts colleges, Wellesley College seeks a collaborative, dynamic, and strategic leader to serve as its next director of admission. Located in the greater Boston area, Wellesley has a highly diverse and academically talented population of 2,400 women from all 50 states, more than 80 countries, and many social, cultural, and economic backgrounds.

Reporting to the dean of admission and financial aid, the director of admission will serve on the Admission and Student Financial Services leadership team and manage and mentor a team of 17 admission professionals committed to the implementation of the daily functions related to the Office of Admission. With exemplary personal and professional integrity, the director will oversee the strategic execution in the recruitment, selection, and enrollment of an academically talented and diverse applicant pool. The new director will be a trusted advisor to the division, campus leadership, and other partners across the College. The director will provide tactical leadership for the admission staff, and nurture and develop talent in the Office of Admission. Additionally, the director will be nimble and think innovatively to generate ideas to enhance Wellesley's competitiveness in the national and global context of higher education.

The ideal candidate will be a data-informed thought partner with an understanding of national and international trends and markets, especially within a mission-driven, highly selective admissions setting. The director will embody exceptional interpersonal communication skills and will be a campus and community partner to assure all constituencies are informed, supported, and committed to recruiting accomplished, creative, and diverse students to the campus. This position will represent Wellesley to internal and external audiences and must be able to embrace and promote the value of a college dedicated to the education of women.
