Under direction of the Manger, the Assistant Manager, is responsible for coordination and management of the processing of alarm notifications and video surveillance evidence.
RESPONSIBILITIES EXAMPLES OF WORK
- Support the manager in conducting regular staff performance evaluations and providing recommendations on promotions, demotions, or hiring additional staff as needed to manage Intelligence operations and meet corporate goals and objectives.
- Assist in verifying the functionality of the department's integrated technology systems at all times and coordinate with the Information Technology (IT) group whenever such systems are not functioning properly.
- Assist in managing and contributing to the development of curriculum and provide training to personnel.
- Assist in organizing and conducting training sessions for staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and understanding of the Security Operations Center.
- Assist in identifying training needs and gaps among the team members and recommend appropriate training programs or resources.
- Support the development of training materials, manuals, and guidelines to facilitate effective and consistent training delivery.
- Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their performance and professional development.
- Collaborate with the manager to ensure training initiatives align with the organizations goals and objectives.
- Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Performs related work as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required, Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
- 3-5 years of management experience in a call/monitoring center role
NOTE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may also be considered.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of management principles and practices.
- Ability to manage and supervise others.
- Experience with alarm monitoring software (MKS or Honeywell) preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to work in a high stress environment.
- Ability to communicate in writing to effectively prepare findings and create reports.
