: SUNY Schenectady County Community College is seeking a full-time Admissions Advisor. Under the general direction of the Director of Admissions, the Admissions Advisor position is based at the SUNY Schenectady main campus in Schenectady. However, there is a large travel commitment required, with extensive local travel and occasional out of the area and overnight travel. There is the expectation that the admissions advisor will work certain evening and weekend hours as assigned to attend college fairs and recruitment events, and for office coverage. This is a full-time 12 month represented position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides personal counseling in regard to admission requirements and program choice Coordinates, organizes, and manages virtual and in-person information sessions Serves as primary liaison for school counselors, college partners, and educators Represents SUNY Schenectady at on- and off-campus college fairs, community fairs, and instant admit appointments Reviews admissions applications and recommends admissions decisions Manages yield communications to assigned students Tracks student data and provides reports and analysis Utilizes related technology-based systems (BANNER, Slate) Availability to work evenings and weekends
Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from a regionally-accredited institution One year of experience in admissions, sales, customer service, advising, counseling, or related field A valid driver's license Available to work evenings and weekends Ability to frequently transport admissions recruitment materials weighing up to 40 pounds to recruitment events
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in planning and executing all facets of on-campus programs Extensive knowledge of Banner (Ellucian) system Experience with CRM systems (Slate) Bilingual preferred (English/Spanish) but not required
Special Information:
VISA sponsorship is not available for this position Offers of employment will be conditional based on the successful completion of a background check and verification of official college transcripts
Additional Information: Salary: $41,667
