Description

Anderson University (Indiana) seeks applicants for the position of graduate assistant for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions under the direction of the Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach for the 2024 - 2025 academic year.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • 20 hours per week, the Admissions Graduate Assistant will work closely with the Assistant Director of Admissions, Recruitment and Outreach, admissions counselors and various faculty and staff
  • This position will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to visiting students and their guests throughout the recruitment process
  • Greet prospective students and their guests upon arrival in the Welcome Center
  • Professionally answer and route phone calls to appropriate faculty and staff
  • Give enthusiastic and conscientious communication during tours to prospective students and their guests
  • Assist in the planning, implementation and execution of recruitment events such as Discovery Days, Student Orientation Advising and Registration (SOAR), Honors Events, Launch Events, group visits as well as other events hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned.

Candidate should possess the following skills:
  • Highly organized with a propensity for timeliness and professionalism
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • A flexible work schedule that will include days, evenings and some weekends is required
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and G Suite

Qualifications
  • Qualified candidate will have a Bachelors degree.
  • Commitment to University mission and Christian lifestyle.
  • Admittance to Masters* program at Anderson University approved for the Grad. Asst. Program.
  • Complete and pass required background check.
  • The graduate assistant must meet University lifestyle expectations, GPA requirements and work responsibilities to be reappointed for the next academic year.
  • 10-month work period: August 1 - May 31.
  • 2-year Graduate Assistant program expectation

Benefits: Tuition waiver for a Masters Degree (authorized graduate programs in business or theology), $5,500 per year stipend paid bi-weekly over 10 months. Graduate Assistants receive the remitted tuition benefit of 100%. This is a tuition waiver of up to $5,250 per year that is not taxable; tuition beyond this amount is taxable. Pre-requisite courses taken at Anderson University, the MBA Technology Fee, the SOT Community Fee and the Graduate Fee are covered by the tuition waiver. Payment of administrative and other special fees may apply to your course of study and will not be covered by the tuition waiver.
  • Falls School of Business: Professional MBA (2-yr); School of Theology & Christian Ministry: Master of Divinity (3-yr) or Master of Theological Studies; School of Music, Theatre & Dance: Master of Music Ed.
  • Falls School of Business: Professional MBA (2-yr), School of Theology & Christian Ministry (except the online degree Masters of Christian Ministry program), or the School of Music, Theatre, & Dance Masters of Music Ed.
