The Position: We are looking for an Admissions Coordinator, who is willing to embrace McKinleys mission and H.U.M.A.N values. The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for admitting students into the school program by maintaining admitting guidelines; obtaining student information; screening applicants; completing admissions process; resolving parent/student/district dissatisfactions.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range were offering is $18.00- $22.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
  • Bachelors Degree Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with at risk youth required
  • Possession of a valid California drivers license and be able to provide own transportation in conduct of work assignments (mileage reimbursement)
  • Word Processing; Excel Spreadsheets; Graphing
  • General Office Skills
  • Excellent Oral & Writing Skills
  • Strong Decision Making and Problem Solving
  • Mastery skill in working with others in both authority and non-authority relationships on a routine basis
  • Skill in Personnel Management through coordination and cooperation
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites
  • Ability to lift 10 pounds for filing
  • Walking, standing, talking, hearing, & crouching
  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage enrollment and intakes of new students.
  • Interview and track down all information from incoming students for placement
  • Review school's policies and procedures with incoming and current students
  • Obtain and evaluate student data; transcripts and course placement, test results, personal histories, school records, and parent information.
  • Assist with the coordination of State and District mandated testing
  • Coordinate/ Participate and ensure that all Title 1 documents are up to date and submitted.
  • Maintain appropriate student records.
  • Create student cumulative files.
  • Input and update all pertinent information to Praxi-Power
  • Develop close working relationships with residential staff to provide a seamless service to residential students.
  • Take part in strategies that raise the profile of McKinley Children's Center/Canyon View School within the local community, schools and school districts.
  • Attend and contribute in various meetings as may be required (IEPs, parent/teacher meetings, Open House and Back to School Nights, promotions, graduations, athletic events, etc.)
  • Actively facilitate positive links between districts.
  • Maintain all ISAs and Master Contracts
  • Retrieve and distribute breakfast to classrooms.
  • General front desk duties include answering phones and checking in visitors.
  • And other duties as assigned.
