Job Summary
Estrella Mountain Community College is hiring a specially funded student services analyst to support the Workforce Development Department. This position provides a positive learning experience for students/participants in community education or workforce training programs; provides assistance with planning, coordinating, evaluating, resolving problems, and/or supporting program offerings and/or events; partners with both internal and external customers to promote program offerings.
Essential Functions
45% - Coordinates programs by providing assistance with the operational planning, program management and evaluation, problem-resolution and technical assistance within the Workforce Training/Community Education program office. Supports a variety of Workforce Training/Community Education programs including ESOL, Kid's College, Personal Development programs, and more. Perform research on program activities and recommend enhancements, developing programs and/or special events, serving as a program or community liaison, monitoring regulations and funding, and as assigned, serving as a lead worker, assigning and monitoring the work of others and may supervise assigned non-exempt staff. Works closely with faculty to promote and support programs for students, industry and the community.
20%- Continuously develops, maintains, tracks and monitors program milestones, data collection. using but not limited to systems such as Student Information System (SIS), Google, Microsoft Office, and other means. Clearly communicates course offerings, changes, or additions to members of the general public and/or community partners to ensure we promote the availability of said programs.
20%- Contributes to the identification, application and administration of funding opportunities for students including scholarships, grants, and external funds related to experiential education. Responsible for independently managing multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills. Prioritizes multiple work tasks, meets deadlines, and demonstrates ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential.
15%- Assists with development, planning and staging events related to workforce/career engagement opportunities for students which could include workshops, community presentations and classroom resources visits; maintains records with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail to track the success of the program and students. Demonstrates willingness to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and a variety of other public collaborators will support our Mission of being an innovative higher learning organization responding to the diverse needs of West Valley communities. Other duties as assigned commensurate to the grade level of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
OR
Associates Degree from a regionally accredited institution and four (4) years of full-time equivalent student services or college teaching experience, or experience coordinating, administering, planning, or evaluating programs.
Desired Qualifications
A. Masters degree in Business, Counseling, Educational Leadership, or related field.
B. Two (2) years of experience working in a college or university setting.
C. Experience developing business and community partnerships.
D. Experience collaborating with faculty and staff on experiential education including but not limited to, service learning, internships and field experience.
E. Experience using multiple computer software programs such as Google tools, Excel, Microsoft Suite, Adobe, or website design software to create documents, spreadsheets, flyers, programs, posters, etc."
F.. Experience with planning, coordinating and budgeting for special events or workshops.
Special Working Conditions
May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
May require prolonged periods of viewing a computer screen
