As a full-time faculty member, teach the equivalent of 24 credit hours during the academic year as assigned on-campus and/or online courses and also focus on research and publications as well as service to the institution as specified in the Academic Handbook. The faculty member will primarily teach international marketing and marketing courses at both the undergraduate and graduate level.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

Primary Duties:
  • Design and deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate-level business courses, focusing on the candidate's area of expertise and the needs of the Business Administration department.
  • Develop engaging and effective teaching materials, including syllabi, course outlines, and assignments that meet the learning outcomes of each course and reflect the University's emphasis on Jesuit values.
  • Maintain a high level of scholarly activity, including research, publications and conference presentations in the field of business.
  • Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, providing academic and professional development guidance. Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys a genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
  • Contribute to developing and delivering academic programs in Business, including curriculum design and program review.
  • Participate in service to the institution, including but not limited to School of Business and Business Administration department meetings and planning, committee work, recruiting and community engagement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualification Standards
  • Must have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Business or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience in Business at the graduate and/or undergraduate level in a university setting.
  • Industry experience, preferably in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, and database applications; Blackboard and Ellucian Colleague systems.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others; to present information clearly and concisely; and excellent verbal and written communication skills also required.

  • Education

    Must have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Business or a related field.

    Experience About Saint Peter's Licenses (if applicable) Working Conditions

    Work Schedule:

    Full-time, on campus; ability to work the standard academic schedule. In addition to regular business hours, the person in this position must be able to be flexible around the needs of the University, which includes occasional evening and/or weekend hours.

    Physical requirements

    Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time.
  • The person in this position needs to move about both inside the office and at other locations where interviews and meetings are conducted.
  • Frequently operates a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently communicates with others over the phone and in person; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Ability to speak clearly and communicate proficiently in English.
