Banning Unified School District is a diverse community that collaborates to develop responsible, respectful, and prepared students to achieve their full potential. With over 500 employees and a $70M operational budget, the District serves nearly 4,500 students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade from Banning, Cabazon, White Water, Poppet Flats, and the Morongo Indian Reservation. Job Summary
Under the general direction of the Assistant Superintendent - Academic Services, plans and coordinates services of the District on compulsory education laws, student admission and enrollment procedures, student discipline procedures, transfers to alternative programs, and school climate and safety. In addition, plans and coordinates efforts to ensure a safe and secure learning and work environment for students and employees at assigned school campus(es); Student Services combines the knowledge and skill of counseling with knowledge of education and the law to resolve complicated situations involving school choice, student discipline, campus safety, and programs for high-risk youth.

Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. Letter(s) of Recommendation (3) Valid California Administrative Credential A valid California teaching credential is also required. A Pupil Personnel Services Credential is desired. Bilingual Spanish Preferred.

A minimum of five (5) years of successful full-time teaching, counseling, and/or administrative experience. Preference may be given for experience as a child welfare and attendance worker, counselor, or administrator.
