POSITION SUMMARY: The Director of International Recruitment is a key leadership role within the University's Enrollment and Marketing division, providing strong international recruitment knowledge and best practices to build and support a robust International student recruitment strategy. The Director of International Recruitment will be responsible for all recruitment activities connected to international students across traditional first-time freshmen, transfer, and graduate enrollment funnels. This position will be student-facing and will tailor their activities and prioritization to meet or exceed institutional international enrollment targets. In addition, the Director will manage international agent contracts and vendor relationships connected to international recruitment strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the recruitment and admission of full-time undergraduate and graduate international students while facilitating a smooth transition into the first week of coursework at the University.
  • Collaborate with undergraduate and graduate admissions teams to ensure efficient processes and compliance with US State Department regulations.
  • Manage partnerships with vendors, agents, agencies, and third-party recruiters.
  • Develop, execute, and assess on an ongoing basis, a strategic international recruitment plan in conjunction with the VP of Enrollment and Marketing and the Executive Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions.
  • Work with Graduate and Adult Admission to support the recruitment and admission of graduate international students.
  • Create a culture of sales excellence and best practices, supported by an enrollment operations-centered approach to student recruitment.
  • Manage territory recruitment both virtually and in-person, completing high school visits and attending college fairs, primarily domestically, to promote Moravian University to parents, counselors, and alumni.
  • Collaborate with various departments across Moravian's campus to enhance the student admissions and onboarding experience.
  • Partner with the Center for Global Education team to establish best practices in developing systems that support international student success.
  • Participate in recruitment events, and perform other related duties as assigned, including evening and weekend work during peak times.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions or their designee.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in college or university international admission preferred; multi-lingual preferred; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to represent the University effectively to various audiences; and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the University including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public; demonstrated commitment to and success in working with a diverse population of students and parents/supporters; demonstrated ability to manage the visit processes and experiences and leverage data in decision-making; an understanding of the higher education and enrollment landscapes and prospective student markets; sense of humor, innovative thinking, and a data-informed orientation; familiarity with marketing email and social platforms and the design and execution of drip-marketing campaigns; experience leveraging event management tools, and an understanding of how customer data integrates with an institutional CRM; computer literacy, as well as experience with a CRM (Salesforce/TargetX is preferred), Microsoft Office, Google drive, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets, is required.
