All About You
Job Summary
Under direction of the Associate Provost, develops career-related programs for International Students. Create and maintain a non-course in Canvas that contains career-related modules that will prepare International Students for CPT and OPT opportunities. Coordinate and facilitate career-related workshops and meet with international students for individual assistance. Connects with campus partners, alumni, and employers to provide experiential learning opportunities and jobs for international students. Supervise related International Student career services staff, as needed.
Job Duties
•Develops career-related material for modules designed for international students to complete via Canvas. Facilitates workshops and related programming.
•Creates and distributes informational documents for international students.
•Assists the International Student Employer Relations Consultant in creating and maintaining relationships with employers.
•Facilitates events geared towards employer relations and international students.
•Meets with international students to provide feedback and resources on career opportunities.
•Keeps abreast of trends and topics related to international student hiring and best practices.
•Creates and maintains relationships with international talent organizations within the St. Louis community and beyond.
•Creates connections for students along with other campus partners that fall under the Experiential Learning umbrella. Can include on-campus work, off-campus internship and job opportunities, group/cohort activities and projects.
•Supervises related staff as needed.
•Attends international student related events around campus and works in concert with other international student resource offices and departments on-campus to create career-related opportunities for international students.
•Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree required, in Counseling, Business, Higher Education or related field; supplemented with two (2) years of related experience. Knowledge of International Student's career needs and visa types.
