The International Studies Program seeks qualified applicants for a full time instructor position in International Studies beginning in Fall 2024. This is a renewable non-tenure track position. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
Duties: Full-time Instructor position responsibilities include a typical teaching load of four courses/semester. Courses will include the Freshman level course on Contemporary Global Issues, the Junior level gateway course for the International Studies major, and the Senior level capstone seminar. Teaching may also include specialized courses on a specific region or theme depending on interest and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications
Education Level: Master's in International Studies or related field in the Humanities or Social Sciences.
Preferred Qualifications
Education Level: PhD
Specific Degree: Preferred degrees are Anthropology, Religious Studies, Foreign Languages, Geography, History, or Political Science.
Years of Experience: 2 - 5 years of teaching experience
Specific Experience: Experience teaching undergraduates in a university setting.
Qualified applicants will have a strong record of teaching undergraduate students about globalization and international affairs, and an ability to advise students about careers in international affairs.
