Serve as a regional recruiter, promoting UNC Pembroke. Collect prospective student inquiries and support lead generation. Assist in admissions application evaluation and prospective student outreach. Enhance UNCP brand awareness by participating in virtual and in-person recruitment activities. Respond to prospective student inquiries and engage with prospective student decision influencers.

The Admissions Representative will be a first impression contact and regional recruiter for UNC Pembroke. The representative will be responsible for marketing the UNCP brand in identified markets and will provide general college advising to assist students in the admissions application submission. The representative will respond to and answer general questions about UNCP academic programs, majors, student life, athletics, clubs and organizations, and the North Carolina Promise tuition plan.

Other major responsibilities include:
  • Collect, report, review, and complete initial response to freshman, international, and transfer student Admissions inquiries
  • Provide academic program overviews and Admissions presentations to various audiences and target populations.
  • Qualify prospective student interest levels and respond appropriately to students based on interest level.
  • Perform student outreach through email and text.
  • Participate in daytime and evening recruitment events to include but not limited to college fairs, industry visits, and community fairs.
  • Travel extensively throughout identified territories promoting the UNC Pembroke brand
  • Meet with student influencers such as school counselors, college advisors, and transfer liaisons.
  • First-level screening of admissions applications and coaching students through application submission
  • Attend weekly virtual check-in session with Admissions office.
  • Relevant recruitment duties as assigned by the Director/Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions

This is a time-limited position.

Management Preference

Preference will be given to applicants with recruitment or sales experience, and to those with direct higher education admissions recruitment experience. Other education experience such as college advising, teaching, or counseling will also be highly considered.
