Visiting Assistant Professor (International Relations)

The Department of Government at Cornell University invites applications for two one-year, full-time Visiting Assistant Professors in International Relations to begin July 1, 2024. Candidates must have research specializations in international political economy and/or security studies. A Ph.D. in political science is required no later than June 30, 2024.

Successful candidates will each teach three courses during academic year 2024-25 and be expected to undertake usual duties associated with departmental teaching.

We ask applicants for all faculty positions to share their experiences and/or approaches (past, current or future) to fostering learning, research, service and/or outreach in a diverse community. Applicants may choose to submit a stand-alone statement or embed the information in other parts of their application materials.

[Pay Range: $88,000-$98,000] Actual salary offers in the College of Arts and Sciences will be based on education, experience, discipline, and relevant skills. Pay Range: Refer to Posting Language

Pay Ranges: The hiring rate of pay for the successful candidate will be determined considering the following criteria: Prior relevant work or industry experience.

Education level to the extent education is relevant to the position.

Academic Discipline (faculty pay ranges reflects 9-month annual salary)
