80% Teaching
Teach undergraduate or graduate level courses in various topics in international business, with the possibility of teaching in the human resources or strategic management areas depending on professional background. Duties include but are not limited to course preparation, consultation, and assignment of course grades. Courses may be taught at the Lawrence, Edwards, or Leavenworth campus, and online. The course load for this appointment is four courses each semester (fall and spring). The Area Director will determine course load and teaching assignments to best meet the needs of the School of Business. All faculty should abide by area, school, and university policies and procedures.
20% Service
Participate as an active member of the area and engage in instruction-related activities beyond direct instruction. Examples include curriculum development committees, course improvement initiatives, and advising student organizations. All faculty members are expected to fulfill their share of service duties needed to facilitate the efficient operation of the school.

Required Qualifications
For undergraduate courses:
- Master's degree in international business or a related field. Applicants with a MBA or a related field degree should have minimum 2 years professional work experience in international business.
- Documented record of successful teaching, OR a demonstrated record of mentorship, leadership or training experience in a professional setting.
For graduate courses:
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline, OR master's degree plus four or more years of senior level experience directly related to specific area of instruction.
- Documented record of successful teaching, OR a demonstrated record of mentorship, leadership or training experience in a professional setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience teaching successfully at both graduate and undergraduate levels.
- Experience with effective curriculum development.
- Demonstrated industry engagement.
- Excellent mentorship and leadership skills, with a passion for education and student development.
- Effective communicator with strong networking abilities.
- Familiarity with undergraduate business programs at KU.
