Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Intervention Coordinator or designee, the HIS Navigator works with IHS students to deliver assistance in the students' native languages whenever possible, connecting students with community, school resources and services as needed. The purpose of this position is to provide a means for clear communication for the student to receive information regarding school activities, procedures, programs, Career technical guidance and services that are available.

Requirements / Qualifications
The position requires the following items to be attached to the application, or the application will not be considered: 1. Resume 2. Letter of Reference (optional) 3. Proof of Highest Level of Education . Any combination of education and/or experience working with English Language Learners related activities or an English Language Development setting is preferred; college graduate is preferred; previous industry experience in school setting is desirable. . Experience working within diverse educational communities of teachers, students, parents, administrators, and community members. . Experience with preparing and presenting information to groups. . Possess knowledge of student populations with cultural diversity. . Possess knowledge of assessment instruments and procedures. . Sufficient knowledge to speak, read and write fluently in a language other than Standard English; knowledge of a multi-cultural group encompassing but not limited to; family member roles and living environments. . Bilingual in a language - preferably in one or more of the following: Spanish, Farsi, Slavic dialects. . The ability to communicate with a diverse group of people on a daily basis.
