JOB SUMMARY:
Provides services for students, staff, and faculty associated with the undergraduate program in the Department of Automotive Engineering at both main campus Clemson and CU-ICAR. Performs day to day processes and assists in procedures in the area of undergraduate student issues such as but not limited to: Registration, graduation, academic activities and advising, and communication. Assists staff and faculty with other items related to these areas, including with events. performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
25% - Essential - Plans and organizes at least one initiative or event (e.g. awards dinners, graduate receptions, prospective graduate student campus visits). Maintains schedule, manages logistics, recruits participants for initiatives, communicates and reports on program outcomes. Attends relevant meetings and serves as a liaison for the department.
20% - Essential - Coordinates and managers course schedule development and input of the schedule into the University's scheduling system. Activities include adding/changing sections, managing capacities, adding instructors, adjusting, or locating rooms, and setting meeting times. Assists in resolving registration problems including overrides, requesting a closed course, and registration errors. Interfaces with registration services to ensure all University rules and regulations are met.
20% - Essential - Advises and counsels on course selection and registration procedures. Advising case load will be assigned based on the needs of the department. Develops and maintains confidential records.
20% - Essential - Advises and counsels students on academic progress. Advises and counsels students on University and departmental policies, engagement opportunities, and personal development. Identifies student issues and refers students to other campus resources as needed
15% - Essential - Participates in departmental, College, and University wide initiatives related to advising and student success by providing staff support, knowledge, and expertise to ensure a successful program. Assists with College recruiting and engagement programming as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: A bachelor's degree
Work Experience: Experience in student services programs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
5% - Overnight Travel

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Expected Salary Range: ($ 37,860.00 - $ 48,825.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
