Job Description
Summary/objective
The Director of International Programs and Services (DIPS) provides support, leadership, and oversight for the College’s international engagement, including recruiting and retaining international students and managing and supporting international experiences for faculty and students. The position is considered a mandated reporter with regards to Title IX and is required to report any information that an act of sexual violence may have occurred.

In collaboration and with the support of various campus offices, leads the international initiatives of the institution. Promotes professional development by conducting regular faculty and staff development on a variety of internationally-oriented issues. Advises and coordinates requirements for Randolph students studying abroad, as well as all immigration requirements for F visa international students and J exchange visitors and performs the corresponding reporting functions to government agencies. Passion for supporting international students and international study. Study Abroad
Oversees the College’s study abroad program. In coordination with the Provost’s office and the international and off-campus programs committee (IOCPC), oversees risk management, quality control, and approval procedures for study abroad. Advises students interested in study abroad. Trains faculty-led study abroad leaders. In conjunction with the IOCPC, promotes faculty-led study abroad opportunities and encourages student participation in semester-long exchange programs. Occasional international travel for site visits and study abroad support.
International Students
Ensures there is a comprehensive effort to attract, retain, and graduate a diverse international student body. Serves as Primary Designated School Official (PDSO) and the chief SEVIS compliance officer. In coordination with other offices at the College, arranges the delivery of key services and support for international students. Coordinates with the DEI office on programming for international students. Oversees institutional compliance with all Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of State regulations governing international students and visitors at Randolph College. In coordination with the Office of Admissions, plans / participates in international recruitment activities, which are aligned with the institution’s enrollment plan. Advocates for international students at the College and in the local community. In coordination with other campus offices, communicates and advertises admissions requirements, forms, program changes, international events and other necessary information. Cooperates with various administrative and academic units to implement international student intake and orientation each semester. Coordinates transfers, program extensions, reinstatements, dependents and change of status requests for international students. Coordinates with graduate program directors and the director of graduate studies to ensure consistency and compliance with international graduate students.

Preferred education and experience
3 or more years of successful administrative experience with international programs and/or services. Evidence of work with International Students. Experience with study abroad and study away.
