Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt The MBA Admissions and Financial Aid office hires temporary external Auxiliary Readers to perform application reviews year cycle.
Job Description: The Wharton MBA Admissions Office is hiring readers for our Auxiliary Reader Program. Each year, Wharton MBA receives over 8K applications for 800 (approx.) spots. Auxiliary Readers aid this selection process by helping to review applications for the Wharton MBA program via an online system. This includes reviewing bio data, transcripts/tests, essays, resumes and recommendations for each assigned applicant and providing a thorough bio summary as well as rankings. Each Auxiliary Reader is assigned a queue of candidate applications to review (volume varies annually) to be reviewed at a pace of two applications per hour. This review will include assigning appropriate rankings as well as a summary assessment. Training is provided and required at the start of each cycle year.
Qualifications: MBA or other graduate degree strongly preferred along with a minimum of five to seven years of prior work experience in admissions, student affairs or recruiting. Deep knowledge of business and business careers, and strong written and oral communication skills, are essential. Interested applicants must be available to review all assigned files during the peak times of the cycle (September-October, January, early April and late May). Attention to detail, accountability and ability to work and meet expectations under tight deadlines required.
