Under the supervision of the Director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services this position is responsible for all aspects of transfer student admission, from initial recruitment and application processing to evaluation and matriculation.

Position Specific Accountabilities
- Oversee recruitment, advisement, and evaluation of prospective transfer students in accordance with University guidelines; in consultation with the Director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services and the Associate Deans of the respective Colleges and Schools, make critical admission decisions based on strategic enrollment goals.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of on campus events including Transfer Orientation, Transfer Preview Days and Community College Counselor Information Programs.
- Build and maintain key partnerships with the Directors of Transfer Centers/ Counselors at strategically selected community colleges.
- Maintain cross-divisional partnership with the Registrar, Student Affairs and Admission in the planning and implementation of Orientation, with primary responsibility for transfers. Co-Coordinate fall and spring Transfer Orientations.
- Design and implement marketing initiatives for transfer students via collaborations on brochures and website enhancements.
- Train and supervise student interns and Graduate Assistants in the daily transfer admission activities.
- Participate in all aspects of admissions recruitment. Visit high schools and community colleges, represent LMU at college nights and college fairs, and participate in on- and off-campus recruitment programs. Also, engage transfer students through presentations at select community college recruitment events.
- Engage with Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society and represent LMU at national and regional conventions.
- Counsel prospective students and their families regarding all aspects of admission and financial aid.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Transfer Admission and Enrollment Services.

Requisite Qualifications
- Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
- Minimum three years' experience in undergraduate admission with prior participation in student staff supervision required.
- Demonstrated knowledge in current trends in admission recruitment and evaluation. Significant familiarity with Jesuit values and education.
- Ability to use superior judgment, sensitivity and discretion in relation to admission selection and staff supervision. Ability to supervise staff and provide overall direction to the office on matters related to transfer student recruitment and admission.
- Accurately enter data on the computer; write clear and concise letters; and communicate effectively with students and parents. Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as the SLATE CRM, extremely beneficial.
- Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral) evidenced by experience in preparing comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex and occasionally technical information.
- Make recommendations for selection (hiring), counseling, pay changes, disciplinary action, promotion, transfer, and discharge. Final authority for training/development and performance evaluation of dedicated student staff.
