Job Details
The International Student and Study Abroad Services (ISSAS) office at North Dakota State University (NDSU) is seeking an Associate Director, International Enrollment Management and Student Success. The Associate Director provides leadership and vision for NDSU's international student enrollment and retention strategy. Responsibilities include oversight of a comprehensive and holistic international student advising program, results-driven intake and orientation process for new international students, and management of relationships in support of international enrollment goals both on and off campus. This position works closely with the Director of ISSAS and the Associate Director, Global Engagement and Partnerships in support of NDSU's internationalization priorities.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a background in managing a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment, while being able to motivate a team in a growth-oriented environment. Currently, NDSU enrolls more than 700 international students and is embarking on a new strategic international enrollment plan with the goal to increase the number of both undergraduate and graduate international students. The incumbent will play an important role in realizing the goals of our enrollment strategy and could be called upon to support recruitment efforts abroad, meaning a willingness and ability to travel internationally is a plus.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8AM-5PM, 7:30AM-4PM during breaks and summer; some nights and weekends or other irregular hours when necessary.
Advertised Salary:
$70,000+ DOE plus excellent benefits
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree and 3 years' experience; Bachelors and 5 years' experience, or 9 or more years' experience supporting international student enrollment through recruitment, advising, and/or teaching;
- Demonstrable knowledge of trends in international enrollment management and student advising;
- At least one year of experience supervising others; and,
- At least six months' experience living, working, or studying abroad.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree or other terminal degree
- Experience designing and delivering innovative international student programming; and,
- Ability to speak, read or write at least one language other than English
