The successful candidate for this position will serve as a designated school official (DSO) for the F-1 student visa program; counsel new, continuing, and graduated international students on maintaining student status and related immigration concerns; perform data updates in SEVIS; advise international students; develop educational materials; conduct programs about various immigration and administrative processes; and coordinate new international student arrivals. Working with a student population, the willingness and ability to perform evening and weekend work as necessary is also expected. The Global Education Office (GEO) provides a range of services to international students studying at SUNY Plattsburgh, and to all students wishing to study away from campus for a short period of time.
