JOB SUMMARY:
The Director of Honors Admissions manages a comprehensive Honors College admissions process, in close coordination with Undergraduate Admissions. Develops enrollment strategies, manages technical aspects of the admissions process, and gathers and analyzes relevant data for benchmarking and enrollment modeling. Innovates and leads Honors College's recruiting activities for prospective first-year students, engages in relevant outreach, and supervises area staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Admissions:
Develop, assess, and modify strategic Honors admissions vision and goals in alignment with Honors College's vision and mission and Clemson's institutional strategic plan. Analyze relevant national and state admissions trends and recommend philosophical, process, and procedural shifts to Honors College. Communicate with prospective students, families, counselors, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless execution of an end-to-end Honors admissions process. Recruit, train, and oversee Honors application reviewers. Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of admissions CRM system (Slate) and assist in the development and maintenance of system-related processes and elements including applications, forms, workflows, queries, portals, etc. Serve as the Honors College liaison with Undergraduate Admissions and lead all necessary activities to ensure collaboration and alignment. Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to ensure an updated, accurate, and informative admissions communications plan, media platforms, and publications. Prepare admissions reports for the Honors College and internal and external stakeholders. Serve as Honors College representative on institution-wide committees and external partnerships.
30% - Essential - Recruiting:
Collaboratively develop, execute, and sustain large-scope and scale recruitment strategies for prospective first-year Honors students. Host on-site recruiting meetings and events. Develop internal and external partnerships, design outreach strategies, and represent the Honors College at relevant events on and off campus. Coordinate with Honors Advising team on collaborative recruitment strategies across the Honors experience. Analyze relevant national and state trends and recommend philosophical, process, and procedural shifts to the Honors College leadership. Collaborate with marketing and communications staff to ensure updated, accurate, and informative recruitment materials.
10% - Essential - Supervision and Leadership
Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate area staff. Assess and advocate for staffing needs. Meet regularly with Honors College Dean, Associate Deans, and Directors and advise on college-level comprehensive strategic initiatives and needs.
10% - Essential - Compliance and Policy
Audit, implement, maintain, and modify admissions policy and procedures. Review, evaluate, and maintain compliance with academic and non-academic standards established by the Honors College and University. Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's Degree
Experience - 3+ years of relevant experience
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Experience - 2+ years experience meeting admissions and enrollment goals. Experience working with the Slate CRM or a related enrollment management platform is preferred.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Anticipated Hiring Range ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL
Normal Operations
Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
