Gardner-Webb is seeking a Director of Admissions for the School of Divinity to direct and coordinate all aspects of student recruitment and enrollment management for the School of Divinity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and provide information to prospective students for both on and off-campus School of Divinity programs - all efforts aimed at meeting enrollment budget.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Digital Learning Enrollment, Vice President of Enrollment Management, and the School of Divinity Dean in preparing and evaluating recruiting/marketing tools.
  • Closely monitor and maintain School of Divinity Admission's operational budget to ensure accurate billing.
  • Directs marketing efforts on behalf of the School of Divinity, including, but not limited to print, Internet, billboard, television, and radio advertisements.
  • Track and evaluate recruiting efforts to determine successful recruiting methods and pinpoint areas that need enhancing.
  • Help identify new program areas (both academic and geographic) for growth.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with other GWU Admission Directors, Graduate Admission Team, and School of Divinity Program Coordinators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, serving as a primary resource for them throughout the admissions process.
  • Work with the E-Systems Analyst in maintaining and updating the appropriate website pages.
  • Build and maintain relationships with, but not limited to, higher education institution representatives, church representatives, and other community leaders.
  • Represent the School of Divinity at various recruiting events, as well as Gardner-Webb University functions (requires travel).
  • Work with the Assistant Vice President for Financial Planning in assigning financial aid other than Federal Loans.
  • Conduct other admissions-related duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Digital Learning Enrollment and agreed upon by the School of Divinity Dean.
  • Work in close collaboration with the Assistant Vice President of Digital Learning Enrollment and the School of Divinity Dean in setting semester and yearly enrollment budget.

Other Qualifications:
  • He/she should possess strong oral and written communication skills. Maintaining frequent contact with prospective students is essential to job success.
  • Individual should possess the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must have the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Educational Requirements:
  • Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is required.
  • Master's of Divinity or M.A. Religious Studies preferred
  • One to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
