Cedar Crest College is seeking an enthusiastic, customer focused professional to serve as an admissions counselor on our Traditional Admissions team. The Admissions Counselor will manage a designated territory and applicants by attending college fairs, communicating information to prospective students and participating in campus admissions events to recruit both domestic and international students. The Counselor will have travel responsibilities in an assigned region along with virtual visits and college fairs. In addition, the Counselor will be responsible for all aspects of application management including data entry, application review and decision making, communicating with prospective students, families and college/guidance counselors in order to assist students through the admissions cycle. International student recruitment includes working directly with students as well as agents to move through the admissions process quickly.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in an applicable field. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the desire to provide exceptional customer service across diverse constituent groups is required. Excellent organizational and time management skills are also required, along with attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency. Proficiency using applicant management tools strongly preferred. Ability to adapt in a rapidly changing environment is also essential. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Overnight travel is required in this position.
