Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Associate Director, Bachelor Enrollment & Advising on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida or on the Melbourne Campus in Melbourne, Florida.

Salary & Benefit

The annual salary is $55,000. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.

Position Concept

Responsible for leading the development and implementation of enrollment management and advising strategies for all EFSC bachelor's degree programs. This position supports bachelor student lifecycle management through the enhancement of the recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and retention of new and returning students into EFSC bachelor's degree programs. Additionally, oversees special projects that support bachelor student success and enrollment such as new student orientation, academic pathways, recruitment and advising events, and creation of student educational plans and pathways. This position also directly supervises the Bachelor Student Services team which consists of academic advising and enrollment/transition staff.

Minimum Qualifications

The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:

Minimum: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and three years of related experience in student services, outreach, recruitment, student development, or working with the targeted student population.

Preferred: Master's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two years of related experience in student services, outreach, recruitment, school relations activities, or working with the targeted student population.
  • Data management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and complete assigned work within deadlines.
  • Ability to conduct presentations, and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Effectively supervise and motivate personnel.
  • Work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Ability to use email, word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software.
  • Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license required.For individuals unable to obtain a driver's license, a valid Florida ID is required. Employees and/or volunteers unable to obtain a Florida driver's license, will not be allowed to drive any college vehicle, golf cart or any other motorized vehicle on college property.
  • This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $37.25).This fingerprinting fee ($37.25) is non-refundable.

  • High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc.

Minimum physical qualifications:
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to access, input and retrieve information and/or data from a computer.
  • Works inside in an office environment.
  • Work evening and weekend hours as necessary.
