The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a Director, System of Supports - Student Services & Programs for the Whole Child and Community Design department of the Student Services & Programs division. The job of Director, System of Supports -Student Services and Programs is responsible for directing and coordinating services and technical assistance to local educational agencies (LEAs) prioritizing the efforts of San Diego County Office of Education in advancing whole child education and transforming school climates to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity. This role is pivotal in driving initiatives that ensure every student's well-being and holistic development. ABOUT WHOLE CHILD AND COMMUNITY DESIGN Whole Child and Community Design is a committment to honoring diverse voices, leveraging community relationships, and ensuring the well-being and success of every child. SDCOE operates one of eight regional technical assistance centers that will support local LEAs with the complexities of community schools planning, implementation, capacity building, and organization, and help districts implement culturally relevant practices and build equitable systems that create conditions for all members of the school community to thrive. SDCOE is also recognized as a California Regional Technical Assistance Center for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and is committed to providing professional development for districts and sites with implementing PBIS in accordance with the National Center on PBIS and the California MTSS Framework.

Requirements / Qualifications
This position requires:
Education and Experience:
Education: A master's degree in education, educational administration, educational counseling, social work, social services, school psychology or closely related field; and
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience at a site, district, or county office is required, including two (2) years of experience supervising of staff; experience leading local, regional, state and national technical assistance is preferred; or
Equivalency: A combination of education and experience equivalent to a master's degree in education, educational administration, educational counseling, social work, social services, school psychology or closely related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience at a site, district, or county office is required, including two (2) years of experience supervising of staff; experience leading local, regional, state and national technical assistance is preferred.
