Working closely with numerous staff and faculty across all colleges within UAH, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for fostering relationships with prospective students while providing guidance from the point of admissions inquiry to enrollment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and their families about application requirements and criteria, UAH academic programs, and admission policies & procedures.
- Assist with all phases of the application process and decision-making.
- Follow up, track, and communicate with students from the point of admissions inquiry to enrollment.
- Create and maintain records, and enter and validate data in multiple database systems while utilizing a CRM system to record detailed notes of interactions with prospective students.
- Ability to track recruiting efforts, generate and analyze reports to better manage the enrollment funnel, and provide regular updates to the Dean of the Graduate School and academic department chairs.
- Assist in the development, planning, and execution of domestic and international recruitment strategies.
- Host individual consultations with prospective students in person and virtually.
- Interpret and transmit information to students, counselors, contracted agents, university administrators, and academic units with high-quality customer service.
- Verify and evaluate foreign and domestic academic credentials, including international GPAs, and financial and immigration documents.
- Assist the supervisor and the Graduate School and International Services staff with general prospective and continuing student events and outreach as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and years of experience
- 1-3 years of full-time, verifiable work experience in admissions or other student services programs
- Experience with Windows-based operating systems and knowledge of Office and Google Suite applications
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and technology competence
- Willingness to work collaboratively with multiple team members
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel/work occasional evenings or weekends
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Database management skills and experience with enrollment information systems, Ellucian's Banner, Recruit, Slate, and other systems
