The USC International Academy is seeking an experienced ESL Program Advisor with strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a high desire to succeed in a dynamic organization. The Program Advisor coordinates admissions and program advising, resolves problems, provides reports on progress and regular feedback to the Academy's management team.

The annual base salary range for this position is $63,125. - $70,000.00. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
Minimum Experience: 2 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
Minimum Field of Expertise: Recruitment and admissions experience with knowledge of transfer credit policies and financial aid programs

Job Accountabilities:
- Communicating with prospective and current students
- Supporting all program advising processes (admissions, immigration, student services including housing and health insurance, academics)
- Providing academic counseling for students in the programs.
- Serving as an escalation point for academic and non-academic issues
- Planning orientation, info-sessions, workshops, and transition sessions
- Cooperating with partners (universities, educational consultants/ recruiters, and international scholarship providers)
- Analyzing data and generating reports
- Serving as a SEVP Designated School Official (DSO)
- Staying abreast of and advising current and prospective students on visa and immigration matters and performing SEVIS-related data entry and training; provide students, USC colleagues and overseas educational consultants with information on US immigration/visa regulations
- Continually look for ways to improve service, response times and quality of information
- Developing excellent relationships with USC colleagues based at the main campus as well as foreign offices
- Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with ESL industry and/ or international student services
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
- Commitment to excellence in customer service
- Computer literacy and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Foreign language ability
- Experience living/working/studying abroad
- Supervisory experience
