Direct student affairs operations for NYU Dentistry’s DDS program within the Office of Student Engagement. This role holds a range of responsibilities including serving as a key point person and student liaison in addressing and resolving student issues or concerns, including for students facing challenges or in crisis, and managing the College's student conduct processes through the student-led Peer Review Board.
The Associate Director also serves as an Academic Advisor for nearly 400 DDS students, oversees advisement and leadership support of 40+ student clubs and organizations, 14 academic societies, 4 class councils and student government, and partners with individuals and teams across the College, University and externally to lead and manage the implementation of events, programs and ceremonies related to the student experience and community building.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling or related field.
Required Experience:
5+ years experience developing and managing implementation of student services and academic advising services to a diverse student body at the college or university level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Experience:
3+ years experience with budget management and staff supervision.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Exceptional planning, interpersonal and communications skills. Ability to execute multiple initiatives simultaneously, promote teamwork, and serve as ambassador for the College and the department. Ability to interact with a large, diverse student population.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $75,000.00 to USD $95,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
