Job Details

The Program Manager for Global Partnerships and International Travel in the Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs plays a key role in supporting global partnership activity and serves as primary liaison for university-wide international travel requests from across the university. This role is a combination of facilitator, strategist and enabler to faculty and staff across the university and will play a significant role in mitigating risk inherent to international travel.
As facilitator, the position will help pave the way for faculty pursuing international engagement by maintaining and updating information about international partnership activity.
As strategist, the position will see patterns and spot opportunities through a series of activities including monitoring internal and external resources.
As enabler, the position will provide crucial administrative functions including liaising with faculty related to the international travel approval process and OVPGA’s global partnership awards.
The position will report to the Director of Global Partnerships and will work closely with the Vice Provost for Global Affairs and the Associate Director of Global Partnerships. The program manager will be an active collaborator and contributor with other team members in the OVPGA.
The Office of the Vice Provost for Global Affairs has primary responsibility for shaping and implementing the University’s global strategy while supporting global activity across campus. Units that report to the Vice Provost for Global Affairs include: Global Partnerships, Global Education, Exchange and Sponsored Programs, Communications, Global Research Institute, International Student and Scholar Services, UNC World View, Duke-UNC Rotary Peace Center, and the Shared Services/Unified Business Cluster.
