Xavier University’s Office of Admission invites applications for the roles of Assistant or Associate Director of Admission. The determination of Assistant Director vs Associate Director will be made based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. The primary responsibility of these positions is to share the value of a Xavier education with prospective students and families.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Recruit in a large recruiting territory
- Extensive travel
- Build relationships with key high school counselors
- Give presentations and meet with families individually on campus
- Read and make recommendations on applications for admission
- Substantial involvement at all on-campus programs;
- Timely and detailed follow up with prospective students
- Perform other duties as assigned. Candidates hired at the Associate Director level will also have supervisory duties.
Qualifications for Assistant Director include:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 1 year of experience working in university admission/enrollment management, sales, customer service, or similar
- Ability to present effectively in front of a variety of audiences
- Outgoing personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends
Qualifications for Associate Director include:
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred
- At least 3 years of experience working in university admission/enrollment management
- Experience supervising staff
- Ability to present effectively in front of a variety of audiences
- Outgoing personality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- Willingness to work frequent evenings and weekends
