Position Summary
Morehouse College seeks a motivated and experienced Assistant Director of International Admissions responsible for recruiting, admitting, and enrolling international students. The successful candidate will serve as a primary contact for prospective international students and their families and will have extensive knowledge of the international admissions process, visa regulations, and the U.S. higher education system. In addition, the Associate Director of International Admission will also be responsible for overseeing partnerships with agents, agencies, and other third-party recruiters. They will be integral in advising students and the university on immigration regulations, and visa compliance, and will contribute to the enrichment of international students’ experiences at Morehouse College.
Physical Demands
Routine physical activities that are required to fulfill responsibilities. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Frequent sitting behind electronic devices for extended periods is required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution College admissions, marketing, sales experience, and/or proficiency in a second language are strongly desired. Individuals must have strong communication and interpersonal skills Willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings, as necessary. 1 year experience in international recruitment in the private or public sector
Preferred Qualifications
3+ or more years of experience in international student services, admissions, and recruitment, or closely related fields in higher education.Knowledge of foreign education systems, international credential evaluations, SEVIS (Student and Exchange Visitor Information System), and U.S. immigration regulations
