Position Overview
The ISSS Coordinator will execute a full range of student advisory and regulatory responsibilities related to Sponsored Student Services and the Student and Exchange Visitor System ( SEVIS ) for F-1 status reporting. This position contributes to institutional compliance with federal regulations governing F1/J1 statuses and student scholarships from global sponsors. The ISSS Coordinator will collaborate frequently within ISSS and with campus partners to serve the UNT international community.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and two years of experience and thorough understanding of assigned area (i.e. F-1, J-1, or employment based visa types) or related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: More than 2 years of experience as a P/ DSO ; experience with records management and relational databases, specifically SEVIS , Sunapsis, and PeopleSoft; experience working with student accounts; experience working within higher education.
Work Schedule
M-F, 8-5 pm are standard working hours. Some evenings or weekends may be required with advanced notice.
