Job Title: MOVE Coach Location: Pittsburgh, PA Pay Rate/Salary Range: Starting rate $17.50 per hour. Additional compensation based on experience. Schedule: 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position that follows a traditional school schedule. About the Team The Day School is an approved private school licensed by the Pennsylvania Bureau of Private Academic Schools and approved as a special education school by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Families and school districts alike have connected with our expert educational team to bring specialized education and related services, including autism support and multiple disabilities support, to nearly 200 students from 60+ school districts across western Pennsylvania each year. About the Position The MOVE Coach will provide on-going assistance with following MOVE protocols in conjunction with students’ individualized education plans. Other responsibilities include:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of MOVE philosophy, principles, and purpose
  • Provides MOVE training to new team members and coaches current team members to assist with meeting student needs.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and courtesy when interacting with student, staff, and families
  • Assist with data collection and maintenance of students’ MOVE Profiles
  • Assist classrooms with implementation of student programming with regards to MOVE measures
  • Collaborate with teams to develop positioning schedules in the classroom while implementing age-appropriate, functional and meaningful activities for students
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • MOVE International Trainer (MIT) certification required.
  • Current and valid First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred. (Will provide training if not certified.)
  • Clearances Required: Act 73 FBI, Act 34 Criminal Clearance, and Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
