Job Summary
The mission of Dallas Theological Seminary as a professional, graduate-level school is to glorify God by equipping godly servant-leaders for the proclamation of His Word and the building up of the body of Christ worldwide.
The International Student Services Coordinator will manage services for DTS’s international population. They will assist the Senior ISS Coordinator with meeting the needs of international students for success throughout the entire international student life cycle (from matriculation to graduation).

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree, equivalent, or higher.
Experience in working with international populations.
Experience in teaching English as a foreign language preferred, but not required. Experience with honor/shame and power/fear cultures.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

The International Student Services Coordinator will manage services for DTS’s international population. They will assist the Senior ISS Coordinator with meeting the needs of international students for success throughout the entire international student life cycle (from matriculation to graduation).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Liaise with international student groups (i.e. International Student Fellowship, Student Council, Student Missions Fellowship, and others)
- Develop and execute programs for the acculturation/integration of DTS’s international student population in Dallas (i.e. English language training, intercultural engagement, and so on)
- Work with the ISS team in coordinating relevant workshops and international events (on campus) to assist the Senior Director and Assistant Director in providing training and support for the international community on campus
- Work with the International ThM100 Coordinator through administrative tasks related to the 100 Global Leaders ThM Scholarship Program, in preparation for their arrival to the Dallas campus in FA27
- Work with the Engagement Specialist (Domestic) in providing resources and services for DTS’s international population with local churches, ministries, and individual donors
- Coordinate the arrival of new international students and their families (housing, airport pickup, food, furniture, and all other support)
- Coordinate with volunteers to provide international students with regular trips to the grocery store, bank, doctor, and other necessities
- Communicate with Luke’s Pantry and Luke’s Closet the ongoing needs of international students and their families
- Monitor at-risk students and provide customized intervention services, to facilitate student success
- Work collaboratively with faculty and leadership to support the development of strategies to enhance student retention
- Work with the Assistant Director of ISD and others to provide pastoral care for international students and their families as needed
Job Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Preference as a multilingual communicator (English + Chinese, Spanish, Mandarin, or other language)
- Cultural awareness and willingness to work cross-culturally
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software
- Project management skills preferred, but not required
