Description
The Admissions and Career Services Specialist is a primary point of contact for students, graduates, and the community for the purposes of recruitment, outreach, college visits, career opportunities, internships, and career prep. The specialist communicates with prospective, current, and alumni on career focused opportunities to meet recruitment and enrollment goals. The specialist assists in educating faculty, staff, students, and applicants in the value of early career planning and internships. The specialist collaborates with various departments to provide career advising to students and participate in college recruiting events. The specialist is responsible for managing their recruitment in their designated territory and following up with enrollment leads. The specialist assists in educating faculty, staff, students and applicants in the value of early career planning and co- ops and internships. The specialist collaborates with departments to provide career advising to students and participate in college recruiting events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Facilitate and maintain relations with area school district staff, businesses, college faculty,
administration, and students to increase enrollment in pre-college and undergraduate enrollment. 2. Counsels students and families regarding the general college search process, aspects of college life, admissions process, career exploration, admissions procedures, academic programs, financial aid, career advising, and registration processes. 3. Plans and implements Enrollment Events, Career Workshops, and small group tours to develop understanding of enrollment process and career opportunities including seminars and workshops on interviewing techniques and other job search skills training. 4. Manages an assigned geographic territory focusing on Greene and Montgomery
counties as well as career centers in service area for undergraduate admissions and Early College Programs. 5. Reviews resumes, cover letters, references, job search related documents, and assists students and graduates with preparing for interviews. 6. Maintains current knowledge of college programs, tuition assistance programs, activities, career opportunities and opportunities to effectively communicate to prospective students. 7. Responsible for creating innovative ways of communicating enrollment and career related information to the public. 8. Utilizes CRM to document, communicate and track applicants to enrollment. 9. Support regional location operations and enrollment while bringing career services including mock interviewing, career fairs, and resume writing skills to Greene and Montgomery counties. 10. All other duties assigned by supervisor.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to problem-solve and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is performed in an office-like environment with a moderate amount of noise. Requires travel to various event locations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in business and industry or higher education.

- Valid Ohio Driver’s License.
