Position Title (Classification Title): IEP Instructor (Adjunct) Pool - International Affairs Working Title: IEP Instructor Job Summary: The Office of International Affairs is seeking qualified IEP Instructors (Adjunct) to teach English as a second language in Reading, Grammar, Listening & Speaking, and Writing to non-English speakers enrolled in the Intensive English Program. This position requires a bi-weekly timesheet submission of hours worked. Intensive English Program classes are Monday - Thursday from 8:00am - 12:30pm.
The Office of International Affairs is building a pool of IEP Instructors (Adjunct) for teaching opportunities for upcoming semesters. Application will be accepted on an on-going basis. Your application will be reviewed by the hiring official in the department. Department International Affairs FLSA: Non-Exempt Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or a related field, but will consider a Bachelor’s degree in TESL or a related field and two years language teaching experience in an accredited college or university. Position Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of
specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) or a related field, but will consider a Bachelor’s degree in TESL or a related field and two years language teaching experience in an accredited college or university. Additional requirements include ability to use Microsoft Office applications, effective oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. Physical Demands:
This position requires a criminal background screen.
