Definition

- Receives direction from and reports to the Director of Admissions and Testing Services
- May receive guidance from the Coordinator of Admissions and Testing Services
- Exercises no supervision.
Duties & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Essential and Other Important Function Statements - Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions
- Responsible for specialized recordkeeping and reporting tasks for the Admissions Office.
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness, code documents, resolve discrepancies, and cross-reference data within multiple systems.
- Coordinate downloading admissions applications and transcripts into student information system.
- Process applications for all students, including first-year, transfer, returning, and dual enrollment students.
- Process supporting documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.).
- Assist with testing student information system updates and upgrades.
- Work with director to develop strategies and procedures pertaining to Cross Connect and Colleague including subsequent training.
- Assist with changing prospective student majors and updating advisor assignments.
- Assist with corrections required for enrollment and state reports.
- Provide a timely response to e-mail/telephone/mail requests for information.
- Participate in the enforcement of the Rights and Privacy Act.
- Assist with computer information system training for college personnel.
- As needed, assist students in the Enrollment Center with activities such as admissions requirements and applications; placement testing and transcripts; admissions status; residency; new student orientation.
- Provide support to students at the Admissions window as needed and during assigned time frames.
- Plan and execute communication and report functions within the customer relationship management (CRM) system. Validate data between student information system and CRM are accurate and complete.
Other Important Functions
- Assist in the promotion, planning, and coordination of activities and events sponsored by Student Services.
- Participate on various college committees and other institutional activities.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- FERPA Law
- Microsoft Office software including Word and Excel.
- Principles and procedures of record keeping.
- Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation skills.
- Modern office procedures, methods and computer equipment
Ability to
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
- Interpret and apply CFCC goals, objectives, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations
- Communicate clearly and respectfully, both verbally and in writing

EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING GUIDELINES:

Minimum Education/Training:
- High school diploma or equivalency
Minimum Required Experience:
- Experience in a college setting, preferably admissions and/or registrar, or experience working with complex data systems (entering and maintaining data, and reviewing reports), and customer service.
Preferred Education/Training/Experience:
- Associates Degree; Experience with student information systems and customer relationship management (CRM) systems a plus;
- In particular, experience with Ellucian Colleague, CFNC Cross Connect, and Etrieve SoftDocs is highly desirable.

- Candidates who have obtained their education outside of the US and its territories must have their academic degree(s) validated, at their own expense, by an outside credential evaluation service as equivalent to the Baccalaureate or Master's degree conferred by a regionally accredited college or university in the United States.
