The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:

Required:
  • Associate Degree in Business, Data Analytics, or other related field
  • Must possess a general knowledge of the higher education admissions processes and customer service and communication strategies
  • One or more years of higher education admissions experience


Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education or related field
  • One or more years of data analysis and data mining experience

The role you’ll contribute:

The Data Processing (Admissions) Specialist conducts the organizing and processing of documents and data to support the admissions process. The Data Processing Specialist has a comprehensive knowledge of application and admission processes, policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Data Processing Specialist communicates and collaborates regularly with the Admissions Managers & Student Experience Managers to complete applicant files for admission consideration. The Data Processing Specialist is charged with upholding policy and procedure set by the Admissions Department, University, and its committees. The Data Processing Specialist actively exemplifies outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

The value you’ll bring to the team:
  • Process all applications and ensure all documents have been stamped, entered, and initialed, and follow standard document processing procedure for entering data into the Student Information System (SIS) for applicants and student
  • Ensure accurate assessment, entry, and quality assurance of all application materials, including but not limited to: application checklist items, program application, GPA information on transcripts, accreditation, citizenship, and contact information
  • Ensure the data integrity of duplicate record merges and application changes
  • Perform the calculation of GPA for all admitted students based on the criteria outlined in the Academic Catalog
  • Verify school accreditation for all regionally accredited transcripts
  • Adhere to University document retention policies, ensuring accurate filing of documents
  • Confirm that all admission statuses are updated and are accurately reflected in the SIS
  • Assist in preparing spreadsheets with applicant information for admission committees
