Essential Functions
Ability to relate to a diverse academic community; ability to supervise multiple functions; ability to represent the college’s interest within the local community, ability to work effectively as a member of the senior management team; ability to operate computers; ability to actively supervise numerous personnel and functions simultaneously; ability to speak to groups; ability to travel and attend conferences; ability to physically perform the responsibilities of the position.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in the above student service components at a community college; experience with student government and co-curricular activities; Experience with student disciplinary processes; experience with services to traditional, non-traditional, and at-risk students; Experience with student service assessments and methodologies; Experience with SCT Banner computer system, Experience with multi-cultural programming; Experience working with persons with disabilities; Experience with student housing.
Required Qualifications
Terminal Degree in College Student Personnel, Counseling, Student Development, Education or related field; Eight (8) years experience in student services which must include two or more of the following areas: admissions, financial aid, records/registration office (registrar), student activities, student development (e.g. counseling/career planning/student employment/disability services), student judicial programs, Five (5) years of which must be at a level of Director or above.
