About you
We seek an enthusiastic, highly motivated, sales-minded individual to join our Admissions team. As an admissions specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring each potential student understands our courses, what it takes to be successful, and why our courses are right (or not) for them. The ideal candidate is passionate about education and helping others reach their career potential by matching them with the right course through a consultative approach. In this role, you will drive revenue for our business to grow, scale, and change lives through education. You must act with high integrity, accountability, and curiosity to succeed.

Our core values
The contract rate for this role: $20-$22 per hour, based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations. This is a 40 hours/week contract.

Responsibilities
- Proactively manage and respond to a high volume of prospective remote students efficiently
- Know Ziplines’s courses in detail and are one of the inbound points of contact for individuals interested in learning more about our course offerings:
- Manage a calendar of user-scheduled phone meetings to advise potential learners
- Maintain an upbeat, personable attitude while creating a helpful, welcoming experience for all potential learners
- Help individuals navigate their path and identify how our highly rated programs can help them achieve their career goals
- Assist Ziplines in achieving our enrollment targets by proactively calling prospective learners to advise them on the key benefits of our program, answer their questions, and assist them with enrollment.
- Manage a calendar of user-scheduled phone meetings to advise potential learners
- Conduct outreach campaigns and engage with high-potential candidates sourced through info sessions, interest forms, and SMS.
- Support optimizing our admission processes to provide an amazing user experience (including, but not limited to, admissions scripts and call flow processes) to drive toward desired goals and outcomes.
- Manage and record learner interactions during sales and enrollment (keeping accurate records in our CRM system).
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years in admissions or other consultative sales roles.
- Experience working in startup environments with demonstrated examples of adaptability, resourcefulness, and the ability to navigate uncharted waters.
- Familiarity with the higher education industry is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
- Customer-focused and go the extra mile for them.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Use a consultative approach and have excellent interpersonal skills.
- Focus on driving for results, not tasks.
- Good sense of prioritization and ability to manage your own time wisely.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to fixing grammatical errors.
- Comfortable working remotely.
